Race: Wood Elf Class: Sun Soul Monk

A wood elf monk who channels the power of the sun into devastating radiant strikes. Zoran’s sun soul techniques carry divine energy, and his combat prowess is legendary (one strike was so powerful it briefly parted the cloud cover over Barovia).

When not in battle, he has caught the romantic interest of Sasha, a Vistani woman at the camp. He shared a heartfelt conversation with Andy at the Vistani camp, helping him process the day’s events. He also drank from the magical pool at the mountain entrance (making him smell like lavender for several hours, though it was otherwise harmless).

The Bargain with Greed

In Session 20, while dying from a blood altar trap in the wizard’s crypt, Zoran made a life-changing bargain with Greed — one of the seven sins. He accepted Greed’s power in exchange for sharing his warmth and light from the Radiant One. The transformation was immediate and dramatic.

The Transformation: Zoran’s body became perfectly sculpted like a Greek statue — every muscle sharply defined and rigid. His companions describe him as looking like “beefed up jerky,” with tight skin stretched over impossibly carved flesh. When he tenses his muscles, they become completely hard and fixed rather than soft and flexible. This isn’t just enhanced physique — it’s physical perfection that borders on inhuman.

Enhanced Senses: His senses became supernaturally acute. Brannor’s torch burns like the sun in his eyes. Every scent is distinct. Every sound is crystalline. He can feel the lingering warmth where someone touched him minutes ago. When the lights blazed in Gluttony’s ballroom, Zoran was temporarily blinded by sensory overload before adapting.

Supernatural Speed: He can cross a room in seconds that would take others much longer. During the race for the amulet, he moved 120+ feet almost instantly, leaving everyone else far behind.

The Price: In Session 21, Luan examined Zoran with medicine skills and confirmed he should have died from blood loss. Instead, he looks healthier than ever — “peak physical” perfection. But both Brannor and Luan bear red rusty rashes where they touched Zoran during the blood altar incident, as if his transformed blood burned them. The transformation is permanent and highly visible — there’s no hiding what he’s become.

The voice of Greed offered him power and revealed that “sins can’t hurt each other.” Greed describes itself as “the shadow to the light you search,” claiming that one must accept the shadow to have the light. Greed appears as Zoran’s “perfect image” and kept him alive even when he should have died from blood loss.
