A half-elf gunslinger with quick reflexes and creative problem-solving. Andy was involved in an incident in Vallaki where he purchased a crossbow from a shopkeeper for the agreed price of one gold, but the shopkeeper changed his mind and became aggressive, leading to a confrontation that drew the guards’ attention.
In combat against the scarecrows, Andy showed tactical thinking by dousing one in concentrated alcohol so it could be set ablaze. He shared a heartfelt conversation with Zoran at the Vistani camp, telling Zoran he’s trying to be a better person and do what’s best for the group, though Zoran remains somewhat skeptical.
Silver Ammunition
In Session 2, Andy successfully crafted silver ammunition at the Vistani camp with assistance from the craftspeople there. He created 12 silver bullets and 10 silver bolts, using almost all of the party’s remaining silver. When the blood altar trap activated, Andy showed quick thinking. During the race for the amulet, Andy tried to cast Mage Hand to grab it remotely.
The Gauth Fight
In Session 22, Andy demonstrated exceptional marksmanship during the encounter with the Gauth in the deep caverns. When the creature floated 30 feet above the party, Andy ran directly beneath it and used his Mage Hand to position his pistol at the perfect angle. From that position, he aimed at the creature’s massive central eye.
He rolled a natural 20. The silver bullet punched through the eye.
He fired again. Another natural 20.
The back-to-back critical hits with silver ammunition nearly killed the Gauth (reducing it to just 5 HP) and turned the tide of the encounter, leading directly to the negotiations that followed. These were the last of Andy’s normal bullets — he’s now using silver ammunition exclusively.
