Felorn M'ela

| Race: High Elf | Class: Swashbuckler Rogue / Fighter |
A high elf swashbuckler with the grace and precision of his people, Felorn M’ela combines roguish cunning with martial training. His swashbuckling style emphasizes speed, finesse, and audacious combat maneuvers, while his fighter training adds tactical depth and combat versatility.
With elven grace and a rogue’s quick wit, Felorn brings both charm and deadly precision to any encounter.
Spite
Felorn wields Spite, a sentient rapier looted from a drider. The weapon is far more than a simple blade.
The Devoted Weapon
In Session 72, the mad drow Velthes Duskthorn recognized Spite as a “devoted weapon” — an ancient relic created through dark rituals similar to drider transformation. According to Velthes, such weapons are “housed by something within” and contain “whispers” meant to create “something better.”
The process that forged Spite parallels the failed ritual that petrified the Lolth cultists at the Temple of Moradin. Both involve transcendence through Lolth’s dark gifts, both are marked by horror and hubris.
Possession at the Temple
While investigating the petrified cultists, Felorn was briefly possessed or compelled by some unseen force. With superhuman strength he couldn’t control, he used Spite’s pommel to smash a petrified drow to pieces. A voice not his own spoke through him, calling the cultists “fools” who “failed the experiment.”
The true nature of Spite, the “whispers” it contains, and its ultimate purpose remain mysteries.
